Police arrest man with human skull, other body parts in Abuja

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Wednesday, July 10, 024, said it arrested a man with a human skull and bones in Lugbe area of Abuja.

A statement by the spokesperson for the FCT police command, Superintendent of Police, Josephine Adeh said the suspect was arrested by operatives from Iddo Police Divisional Headquarters at Gosa Kipikipi village in Lugbe area of the FCT.

The suspect whose name was not mentioned was arrested on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at about 9:00 pm.

During interrogation, the suspect told the Police officers that he picked the human parts from the bush while he was hunting in Kuje.

Adeh said the suspect also confessed that his intention was to sell the body parts for N600,000.

According to Adeh, the FCT Commissioner of Police, Benneth Igweh, has also ordered a thorough investigation into the case to ascertain the identity of the bearer of the body parts among other details.

She added that the investigation would help the Police identify the intended buyer, whether the suspect killed anyone to be in possession of the body parts and how long the suspect had been in the alleged business.
