Nigeria is a great country, Air Peace boss tells citizens; calls for unity, peace

The Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, on Monday, July 15. 2024, called on every Nigerian to embrace nationalism against tribal and religious differences for the development of Nigeria.

While delivering a lecture titled, “Leading by Example: Instilling Trust and Confidence in Subordinates”, Mr Onyema said Nigeria is a country of 378 ethnic nationalities that signifies strength and diversity.

At the lecture organised for participants of the Senior Course 46 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji in Kaduna, the Air Peace CEO said, “Nigeria is a great country, nobody should kid you.”

He said, “Yes, the outside world may stigmatise us, we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be stigmatised as a nation.”

Appreciating military, soldiers’ sacrifices

Further calling for support and appreciation for the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Mr Onyema said there is no reason for Nigerians to stigmatise each other based on tribe or religion.

He added, “Nigeria is the envy of the entire world, forget whatever anybody tells you, we have human and natural resources, the human capital in Nigeria is unbelievable.

“Having 378 ethnic nationalities means that every tribe has a positive attribute to contribute to the centre, which every Nigerian is to be encouraged,” he said.

In his address, Air Vice Marshall Hassan Alhaji, the commandant of AFCSC, appreciated Mr Onyema for the knowledge shared during his lecture.

According to the commandant, the lecture by Mr Onyema showed that there is life after military service.

Mr Alhaji said, “This our uniform is to make Nigeria a greater nation and defend it at all times.”
