The Police command in the FCT on Saturday denied reports that the command had placed measures to prevent citizens from protesting against the government as a result of the hardship.
Josephine Adeh the command Public Relation Officer made this statement via her X account on Saturday.
She urged citizens to carry the police along in their plans to organise a peaceful demonstration.
“The FCT police command is not preventing any residents in the territory from protesting. It is your lawful right to protest but please carry us along so we can provide you with adequate protection and prevent the protest from being hijacked by those with inordinate motives.
