Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen, is set to receive a €4 million (₦6.99 billion) wage increase at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after agreeing to personal terms with the French giants.

According to Tuttosport, the reigning African best footballer has signed a five-year deal worth €14 million per season with PSG – a substantial increase from his current €10 million annual salary at Napoli.

Mr Osimhen’s agent, Roberto Calenda, was in Paris earlier this week to negotiate the terms.

However, PSG still needs to reach an agreement with Napoli to finalize this transfer.

While Napoli and new coach Antonio Conte are open to parting ways with Osimhen, PSG is reportedly hesitant to meet the player’s €130 million release clause. Instead, they might offer €100 million plus a player to secure the deal.

Napoli is looking to offload players before bringing in new reinforcements for Conte’s squad.

This transfer process, when completed would also pave the way for Napoli to sign Romelu Lukaku, who is seen as a potential replacement for Mr Osimhen at the Stadio Maradona.
