Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has cautioned Nigerians against the indiscriminate abuse of the naira at parties and events.

Mr Okuneye issued the advisory to citizens shortly after his release from the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, where he served a six-month sentence for abusing the naira.

Before his incarceration, the social media influencer and crossdresser was caught on tape spraying naira at various parties. He was charged to court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and later sentenced to a six-month jail term in April 2024 by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.

However, in an interview with GoldMyneTV on Monday, August 5, 2024, Mr Okuneye advised the public to remain law-abiding.

His words, “Don’t spray money unless you want to become a landlord inside Kirikiri.”

He further emphasised that even seemingly minor infractions can lead to serious consequences.

He said, “It’s not just about killing or any criminal activity; something light like this can take you there.”
