Zamfara NMA elects new officials

The Zamfara State Chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) on Sunday, August 11, 2024, announced that it has elected new executive officers who would run the affairs of the association for the next two years.

In a statement issued in Gusau by Sanusi Bello, the outgoing chairman of the association, the new officials’ emergence followed a successful 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and an election held on Saturday, August 10, 2024.

According to Mr Bello, the new executive officers include Dr Ibrahim Jibril-Hano, who is now the new chairman of the association in the state; Dr Mohammed Murtala-Salahu, the vice chairman while Dr Hussaini Haruna was elected secretary of the Zamfara NMA.

Others are Dr Patrick Okoli, assistant secretary, Dr Aminu Alhazzai, treasurer; Dr Ogunbuyide Oluwadare, public relations officer; Dr Abdul-Azeez Samaila, welfare secretary while Dr Sanusi Bello will serve as ex-officio.

Congratulating the new officers, Bello charged them to work hard to ensure transparency and accountability in the discharge of their duties.
