Peter Dogara on Friday, August 16, 2024, emerged as the chairmanship candidate of the All Progressives Congress Party (APC) for Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The State Independent Electoral Commission fixed October 19, 2024, for the council polls in the state.
It was gathered that the delegates from the 12 wards in Jema’a LGA affirmed the nomination of Mr Dogara as the party’s flag bearer through a voice vote at a congress meeting that took place in Kafanchan.
The chairman of the congress committee, Rilwanu Abdullahi, who oversaw the electoral process commended the members of the APC over the peaceful conduct of the poll.
According to Mr Abdullahi, the smooth and seamless process that produced Mr Dogara is a pointer to the victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
He also advised the candidate to carry everyone along during the campaigns to guarantee his success.
Addressing party members after accepting his nomination as chairmanship candidate, Mr Dogara promised to execute people-oriented projects.
While appreciating party members for their confidence in his capacity, he solicited the support of the electorates in the area if he is elected into office.
