The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has pledged to invoke all necessary and relevant laws to tackle pension fraud without hindrance.
Dele Oyewale, EFCC Spokesperson, stated this in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja.
According to Mr Oyewale, Oshodi Johnson, Uyo Zonal Director and Assistant Commander of the EFCC, made this commitment when the Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Akwa Ibom Chapter, visited the command.

āThe EFCC will utilise all necessary laws to identify and prosecute individuals perpetuating pension fraud.
āWe are here to assist you and respond promptly to any pension scam or fraud complaints,ā Mr Johnson was said to have assured the union.
Obong Cosmos Essien, State Secretary of the Union, commended the EFCC for its sustained fight against pension-related frauds.
āWe appreciate your efforts and encourage you to continue fighting while we pray for you,ā Mr Essien said.
Chairman of the Union, Obong Ekpeyong Ekpo, urged Uyo Command staff to persist in tackling economic and financial crimes, emphasising that hard work would be rewarded.
