Africa’s leading payments technology company, Flutterwave, has announced that its online merchants in Nigeria can now accept payments from American Express cardholders.
This new feature allows American Express Card Members, including those with consumer, business, or corporate cards, to make direct payments to e-commerce businesses using Flutterwave in Nigeria.
The service will soon expand to other countries, including Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, and Uganda, enhancing transaction capabilities across the region.
This collaboration offers significant benefits, enabling Flutterwave merchants to access a broader customer base of American Express Card Members from Africa and around the world.
Shoppers, in turn, gain more flexibility in selecting their preferred payment methods, enhancing the purchasing experience across the continent.
The partnership bolsters the American Express global network, increasing the number of locations in Africa where cardholders can transact, thereby supporting the growth of digital commerce in the region.
