Breaking: Former Kaduna governor Makarfi’s son dies in road accident

A family source told Daily Patriot that the younger Makarfi was involved in a road accident in Kaduna.

Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, former Kaduna state governor, has lost his eldest son, Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi. 

A family source told Daily Patriot that the younger Makarfi was involved in a road accident on Saturday evening along Kaduna-Zaria road, while returning from a condolence visit to the family of the late Dan Isan Zazzau, a prince who died few days ago.

Mr Makarfi was also a former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and was elected a senator in April 2007 to represent Kaduna North senatorial district. 

A civil engineer, the younger Makarfi attended Kaduna International School and Adesoye College, Offa in Kwara state for his secondary education. 

He attend the University of Greenwich, London, for his undergraduate, master’s and PhD. 

The burial of Faisal is scheduled for 1:00 pm tomorrow, Sunday, October 13, at Makarfi, Makarfi local government area of Kaduna state.

Hundreds of mourners are already trooping to the former Governor’s house at Jabi road, Kaduna for condolences.
