Nigerian Grammy award-winning superstar, Ayo Balogun, also known as Wizkid has shattered streaming records with his latest single, ‘Piece of My Heart,’ featuring Brent Faiyaz, marking the biggest streaming day for a song on Spotify Nigeria.
The track became the first to surpass one million streams in a single day on the Spotify Nigeria chart.
The achievement also placed Nigeria among the top 22 countries to reach over one million streams in a day on Spotify.
Globally, ‘Piece of My Heart’ debuted at number 90 on the Spotify Chart, amassing 1.7 million streams, with a total of 2.27 million streams on its first day of release.
The single surpassed Wizkid’s previous record set by ‘MMS’ featuring Asake, which had garnered 870,577 streams on its first day, cementing ‘Piece of My Heart’ as the biggest streaming debut on Spotify Nigeria.
