Popular crossdresser Bobrisky released on bail over allegation of N15 million bribe claim

Popular Nigerian cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye also known as Bobrisky has been released on bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Recall that the social media influencer and crossdresser was arrested by the commission on an Amsterdam-bound KLM flight at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos late Thursday, October 31, 2024, night.

He was alleged to be fleeing the country over bribery allegations which Martin Otse, another social media influencer, claimed Mr Okuneye paid to the commission’s officials.

According to Mr Otse who released a voice note of Mr Okuneye, the crossdresser paid some EFCC officials N15 million to have cases of money laundering and mutilation against him dropped.

Following his arrest, he was flown from Lagos to the headquarters of the EFCC in Abuja and was later released on Saturday, November 2, 2024.
