The 2023 presidential candidate for the Labour Party, Peter Obi on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, congratulated Donald Trump on being elected as President of the United States for a second time.
Mr Obi’s congratulatory message to Mr Trump was contained in a statement by his Media Reports (POMR) Spokesman, Ibrahim Umar.
The Labour Party leader expressed hope that Mr Trump’s victory would deepen democracy globally and engender much-needed peace in the World.
Mr Obi commended the US electoral officials and the American people for conducting a successful poll.
