Telegram chief executive officer and Russian billionaire Pavel Durov is now offering his sperm for free to women seeking children through In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
In partnership with the Altravita fertility clinic, Mr Durov has also committed to covering the costs of the IVF procedure for participating women.
Altravita announced the initiative on its official website, stating, “We are happy to offer you a unique opportunity! Only in our clinic can you undergo IVF for free, using Pavel Durov’s sperm – one of the most famous and successful entrepreneurs of our time.”
Mr Durov previously revealed in a social media post in July that he began donating sperm 15 years ago and now has over a hundred biological children across 12 countries.
He recounted how his donations began when a friend approached him with a request to help him and his wife have a child.
“I laughed before realizing he was dead serious,” Mr Durov wrote, explaining how this initial request led to his longstanding donation practice.
In August, Mr Durov was detained briefly at Bourget Airport near Paris amid an ongoing investigation involving Telegram.
He has lived outside Russia since 2014, following his refusal to comply with government demands to remove opposition groups from his VKontakte (VK) social media platform, which he later sold.
