The incumbent governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has cleared all 18 Local Government Areas of Ondo State in the just concluded governorship election in the state.
The election was conducted in the state on Saturday, November 16, 2024, by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Mr Aiyedatiwa, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled a total of 355,781 while his closest opponent Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party garnered 117,845 votes.
Akinwumi Olayemi, INEC’s Returning Officer in the Ondo governorship election resumed the collation of the election result after it was rescheduled from 5:00 am on Sunday, November 17, 2024, to noon of the same day.
