Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has responded to Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan,(VDM) over a recent backlash against her partner, Paul Okoye, also known as Paulo, defending him in a heated exchange that has drawn widespread attention.
The dispute escalated after Mr Otse criticised Paulo for calling his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, a “social media lawyer.”
In her response, via her Instagram page Iyabo Ojo questioned Mr Otse’s upbringing, saying, “Since you’ve mentioned our names once again, I need to ask your mother why. Mama Vincent, why would you have kids you couldn’t raise?
“Your mother, who failed to provide you with a stable and loving environment, left you for the streets. Instead of directing your anger toward those responsible, you’ve chosen to lash out at successful women and men,” Mrs Ojo posted.
The confrontation has sparked debates online, with fans and commentators weighing in on the fiery exchange.
On the other side, Mr Otse, known for his outspoken personality, had earlier called out Mr Okoye over the lawyer’s comment, accusing him of being dismissive.
Mr Otse recalled how Mr Okoye interfered during his fight with his wife while calling on singer David Adeleke, Tunde Ednut, and others to pick between him and the critic.
However, Mrs Ojo’s retort highlights the personal nature of the feud, which has now extended beyond professional disagreements to include deeply personal remarks.
The feud between Messers Otse and Okoye began after the latter referred to Deji Adeyanju, a lawyer associated with VDM, as a “social media lawyer.”
This comment was perceived as dismissive by Mr Otse, prompting him to criticize Mr Okoye publicly.
The dispute has since snowballed, drawing in Mrs Ojo, who is defending her partner against what she sees as unwarranted attacks.
A prominent Nollywood actress and entrepreneur, Mrs Ojo has never shied away from defending her loved ones, often using her platform to address controversies.
The ongoing drama has fueled conversations about personal boundaries in public disputes, with many waiting to see how the situation unfolds.
