Omotola recounts near-death experience, expresses gratitude after emergency surgery

Veteran Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has revealed details of a recent health scare that led to emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder. 

Sharing her experience on social media, the actress expressed gratitude to God for pulling her through what she described as a “fight for her life.”

Mrs Jalade-Ekeinde recounted how she was rushed to the emergency room after experiencing excruciating stomach pains. 

She said the doctors discovered that her gallbladder was severely dilated and immediately recommended surgery.

“By morning, the most dilapidating stomach pain started, and so I was rushed again to emergency. The doctor came in and said you have to go in immediately for surgery to remove your gallbladder! It was so dilated that the doctors wondered how I was not in more pain,” she wrote on her social media channels.

The actress, known for her resilience and strong faith, reflected on the ordeal and credited her survival to divine intervention.

“So the fight for my life began, and today I am returning to give all the glory to God,” she added.

Fans and colleagues have since flooded her social media pages with messages of support and relief following her recovery. 

Mrs Jalade-Ekeinde, a celebrated figure in Nollywood, has used the opportunity to inspire others to remain steadfast in their faith during challenging times.
