Celebrity barman Pascal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest and Afrobeats superstar Damini Ogulu also known as Burna Boy have become embroiled in a heated feud, sparking widespread attention online.
The PUNCH reports that the drama began when Burna Boy made a cryptic Instagram post on Friday, allegedly referring to Cubana Chief Priest as “Owerri Rick Ross” and accused him of some illegality.
Burna wrote, “No forget say u be Azaman o And dem don gbe your plug wey him name na ‘Omo Igbo’ for ATL and na u be next #OwerriRickyrozay.”
Many believe the jab was directed at the socialite due to his close friendship with singer Davido.
Cubana Chief Priest responded on his own page, claiming that Burna Boy was simply pained.
He further mocked Burna Boy, alleging, “Diddy oil the fastest way to PTSD. you never see anything, you and your bend down collect Grammy.”
Cubana Chief Priest also shared old videos of Burna Boy performing at one of his events. He claimed he paid Burna Boy ₦1 million in 2018 to perform as a backup artist at his birthday party, suggesting Burna’s current success is recent compared to his long-standing wealth.
