In a touching display of solidarity, Nigeria’s entertainment industry has sent comforting messages to popular skit maker and activist Mr Macaroni after he revealed his struggle with a staggering ₦500 million debt. 

Though the comedian has clarified he’s not seeking financial assistance, his vulnerability has sparked an outpouring of emotional support from fellow celebrities.

“Debo, God bless you for sharing. Your good heart came through for you my brother,” actor Femi Adebayo typed.  Actress Kehinde Bankole wrote, “This is a high level of accountability. Leadership of our own lives. So sorry to hear all you went through. I say daily, “everyone is dealing with something” May more financial, spiritual and mental healing continually lift you and all of us who may need it.”

Social activist Rinu Oduala typed, “So sorry about this and I can attest to your financial kindness, not recklessness. Even in the midst of all these, you will still send money. May the love in our hearts be greater than all hate.”

Veteran actor Ejike Asiegbu said, “It is well with you son, God got your back. Broda Shaggi wrote, “Like I said, we all will be tested. The secret of life is to fall seven times and to get up eight times.”

Bisola wrote, “It is well. May God continue to guide, guard and protect you. The best is yet to come.” 

Despite the overwhelming support, Mr Macaroni shares that his revelation wasn’t a plea for financial help. “I’m not accepting any help or donations. I shared the story majorly because I wanted people to learn from my mistakes,” he said.
