Youth leaders from across Nigeria gather as PFN Youth Wing launches a new leadership era and strategic plan for Christian engagement and national transformation.
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has inaugurated a new national leadership for its Youth Wing, signaling a strong shift toward coordinated youth mobilization, Doctrinal clarity, and grassroots revival efforts across the country.
Held in Lagos on June 10th and streamed live to a national and international audience, the inauguration ceremony carried the theme “Unity, Purpose, Power.” It was anchored in worship, biblical teaching, and a renewed vision to equip the next generation of Pentecostal leaders to address both spiritual and societal needs.
The programme began with an opening prayer by Pastor Edward Olumese of North-Light Ministries, followed by a moving intercession for unity led by Pastor Philip Olubakin of Supernatural Life Church. These opening moments laid a spiritual foundation for a gathering that drew PFN stakeholders, pastors, and youth leaders from across Nigeria.
Speaking during the symposium, Apostle Femi Lazarus of Light Nation Church emphasized the critical need for unity in the Church, noting, “In the Old Testament, every prophecy that spoke about the end-time church made reference to the church as an army. So it is: unite or fade out.” Similarly, Pastor Karis AmehWealth of Gloryzone Church Jos, reinforced the call for unity by highlighting how churches in Northern Nigeria have grown stronger through shared challenges: “No breaking of ranks. No different agenda. One purpose.”
The symposium also reinforced the supernatural roots of Pentecostal identity. Apostle Emmanuel Iren, Apostle Femi Lazarus, and Pastor Karis AmehWealth all emphasised the need to remain rounded in spiritual power despite modern pressures.
Pastor Karis warned against compromising spiritual distinctiveness under media pressure, stating, “Behind the speed of the spread of the gospel in the early church was this Pentecostal empowerment.” Apostle Femi added, “To do church the Bible way is to do church the supernatural way.”
Demographic realities were also central to the conversation. With over 70% of Nigeria’s population under the age of 35, several speakers stressed the need for intentional youth-focused ministry.
Pastor Yemi Davids, Chairman of the PFN Lagos State Chapter and Lead Pastor of Global Impact Church, noted that visibility does not equate to importance within the Body of Christ, using the metaphor of the hands and heart. He called for continued honour toward the previous generation who laid the foundation, and urged the current one to build with excellence and finish strong.
The high point of the day was the formal investiture of Apostle Emmanuel Iren as President of the PFN Youth Wing. The inauguration was conducted by Bishop David Bakare, National Secretary of the PFN and Presiding Bishop of Jesus Is Life World Outreach Ministries, who presented PFN National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke. The executive team was also installed and ceremonially handed the PFN flag, signaling the beginning of their tenure and mandate.
Pastor Poju Oyemade, Senior Pastor of Covenant Christian Centre and former President of the PFN Youth Wing, offered a special blessing and prayer over the Youth Wing executives—calling for divine wisdom, unity, and God’s empowerment as they begin their national mandate.
The event saw the presence of notable pastors and PFN Executive Council members such as Pastor Daniel Olawande (RCCG The Envoys), Pastor Shola Okodugha (The New), Pastor Sam Obiorah (City of Transformation Church), Pastor Oge Ogwe (Circle Church), Pastor Ohis Ojeikere (The Winlos, The Votage Church), and several others.

In his inaugural address, Apostle Iren made it clear that the new Youth Wing will be guided by the principles of servant-leadership—not hierarchy. He then outlined a bold vision for the years ahead, centered around practical discipleship, national relevance, and unity-driven reform.
“The future is not tomorrow; it is the choices we make today,” he declared, calling the next generation to rise with conviction, competence, and a Christ-centred vision for national impact.
As PFN Youth Wing leadership begins this new chapter, the message is unmistakable: a unified, intentional, and spiritually grounded generation is rising to lead.
