Chelsea stunned Paris Saint-Germain with a dominant 3-0 victory to claim the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title at MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, in front of over 81,000 fans on Sunday.

The star of the night was Cole Palmer, who delivered a brilliant first-half brace by scoring in the 22nd and 30th minutes before João Pedro added a third in the 43rd minute to put the game beyond PSG’s reach.

Chelsea’s aggressive pressing and quick counterattacks left PSG shell-shocked, as the French champions struggled to create clear chances despite controlling possession. Palmer’s clinical finishing and João Pedro’s composed lob over Donnarumma capped a near-perfect first half for the Blues. PSG improved after the break, but Chelsea’s defence held firm, with goalkeeper Robert Sánchez making key saves to preserve the clean sheet.

Manager Enzo Maresca praised his team’s pride and discipline, while PSG’s Luis Enrique insisted his side were “runners-up, not losers” after the upset. The win marks a huge achievement for Chelsea, who defied the odds to beat the reigning European champions and lift the Club World Cup trophy for the second time in their history.
