Troops of 1 Brigade of the Nigerian Army have neutralised two bandits during a fierce encounter in Unguwar Sarkin Musulmi area of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara. 

The terrorists were killed on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Bula Daloye, Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

A total of 273 Nigerian Army officers commenced the week-long Senior Staff Course Qualifying Examination (SSCQE) on Sunday at the Jaji Military Cantonment in Kaduna State. The examination, organized by the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) of the Nigerian Army, is a crucial step for officers aiming to attend the Senior Staff Course at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji, or other staff colleges abroad.

Sixteen-year-old Ismail has since been buried according to Islamic rites with senior military officers of the Nigerian army in attendance.
