The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, urged all the staff of Ladoke Akintola Airport in Ibadan to abstain from any form of corruption.

The ICPC representative, Njideka Nwobu, while speaking at a seminar organised for staff of the airport said it is important that they embrace integrity as their watchword.

Mrs Nwobu explained that the seminar focused on combating corruption within the organisation’s identified social factors as part of what was influencing corrupt behaviour.

According to Mrs Nwobi, the seminar underscored ICPC’s commitment to fostering a corruption-free environment and promoting ethical standards within governmental institutions.

Delivering a lecture titled “Corruption is a Virus”, the ICPC representative highlighted strategies for eradicating corruption in the workplace and the environment.

She also stressed the importance of integrity in personal and professional life.

In addition, the participants were required to undergo a test that could meet ICPC’s standards and also aimed at reinforcing anti-corruption knowledge and principles.

They were equally encouraged to submit complaints and challenges they encounter at the airport via a designated form.

Their submissions, according to the ICPC representative, will be forwarded to the airport headquarters for thorough review by the management.
