The singer revealed this via a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, stating, “Once again, my birthday this year, we are donating to orphanages and a charity that helps young people stay away from drug abuse and addiction. This year, it’s ₦300m. Details to follow soon.”

This act of generosity continues Davido’s tradition of using his birthday as an opportunity to give back to society.

The award-winning artist is no stranger to philanthropy. Earlier this year, he donated ₦300 million to orphanages across the country. In November 2021, he contributed ₦250 million to 292 orphanages in honour of his 29th birthday, while in July 2023, he provided ₦237 million to over 400 orphanages in Nigeria.
