An online advertisement circulating on social media promoting a purported “Highstone Global University USA International Research Conference” scheduled to take place at the Nigerian Army College of Logistics and Management (NACOLM) in Ojo, Lagos, is fraudulent, military authorities have warned.
In an official statement released on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, the military institution distanced itself from the event, confirming it has no connection to the advertised programme and has authorized no such gathering on its premises.
The college’s Public Relations Officer, Major Innocent Audu, explicitly denied any link to the organisers.
“The College has no affiliation, partnership, endorsement or involvement whatsoever with the said programme, and no such conference has been authorised to take place at the College,” Audu stated.
Following the disclaimer, NACOLM cautioned the public to avoid making payments or surrendering personal details to anyone offering registration for the fictitious conference.
“Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard the advertisement and refrain from making any payments or providing personal information in connection with the purported programme,” Audu added.
The institution noted that any legitimate event involving NACOLM would only be made public through approved Nigerian Army channels, reaffirming its commitment to protecting the integrity of its name, facilities, and official activities.
Members of the public have been urged to stay alert and promptly notify relevant authorities of any suspicious requests or financial solicitations connected to the scam.
