The Police Service Commission (PSC) and Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have set April 12 as the start date for training all successful candidates in the 2025 constable recruitment process.

This information comes from a statement released on Sunday by Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, the Commission’s Spokesperson.

According to the statement, “Applicants who participated in the recently concluded Medical Screening Exercise held between February 26th to 12th March, 2025, are to log on to the recruitment portal https://apply.policerecdruitment.gov.ng to check their application status and print their Training Call-up slip.”

The online portal will open today, Monday, March 31, 2025.

Successful candidates must report to their assigned police training facilities on the date and time shown on their call-up slip. The documentation period at the training schools will run from April 12-19, 2025. Anyone who doesn’t report during this timeframe will be considered to have turned down the position.

According to BusinessDay, the statement explains that candidates should arrive wearing a clean white T-shirt and shorts, bringing:

Training Call-up slip

Application Form submission slip

The PSC Chairman, retired DIG Hashimu Argungu, congratulated successful candidates and encouraged them “to be committed to President Bola Tinubu’s desire to give Nigeria a Police Force capable and equipped to ensure the security of lives and property and defend the nation’s democracy.”
