Cloud and business AI innovations are driving organisational growth across Africa, according to participants at SAPHILA 2025, held from 1 to 3 June at Sun City Resort & Convention Centre, South Africa.
Organised by the African SAP User Group (AFSUG), the conference brought together SAP experts, partners, and customers to explore how emerging technologies are reshaping business operations on the continent.
Speakers highlighted the increasing adoption of AI and cloud technologies, noting their role in enabling smarter decision-making, seamless collaboration, and faster business transformation. SAP leaders emphasised a holistic approach to digital transformation, stressing that the shift to AI and cloud requires more than just technology; it involves new skills, tools, and methodologies.
Research shared at the event revealed that cloud and AI skills are the most sought-after among African companies, with expectations that demand will grow throughout 2025.
