Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has unveiled the structure of its campaign council.

The grand reveal of the council members is set to take place at the APC Secretariat on ACME Road in Ikeja, Lagos, on Friday, 18 September.

Under the campaign council structure, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu serves as Chairman, with his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, designated as Deputy Chairman. The leadership roster continues with Ojelabi Cornelius taking the position of Vice Chairman I, Mudashiru Obasa as Vice Chairman II, and Damilola Sonayon James as Vice Chairman III. Operational leadership is spearheaded by former Senator Musiliu Obanikoro as Director-General, supported by Deputy Director-General Rasaq Ajala and Campaign Secretary Adekunle Olayinka.

The governance and advisory arm features Prince Tajudeen Olusi leading as Chairman of the Governance Advisory Council, alongside Governor Sanwo-Olu as Advisory Council Chairman. Former governors Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode join as Co-Chairmen. Notable figures rounding off the advisory body include the President’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; and former Minister of Health, Adeleke Mamora.

The complete list, which was published by the Kadri Obafemi Hamzat Media Centre on Thursday, establishes numerous specialised directorates and sub-committees. These units are tasked with managing legal and compliance matters, administration and logistics, party and inter-party relations, diaspora engagement, traditional institutions, and local residents’ associations.
