Nigeria’s Super Falcons have unveiled a new kit featuring 10 stars around the team badge ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), cementing their status as the continent’s most dominant force.
The special strip made its match debut on Thursday during a 2-1 friendly victory over Tanzania’s Twiga Stars. On Thursday evening, ESPN Africa revealed the update in a post on X, explaining that each star symbolises one of Nigeria’s historic continental titles.
Now, head coach Justin Madugu leads the defending champions into Morocco targeting an 11th WAFCON title.
The tournament officially kicks off on Saturday. Nigeria will launch their title defence on Tuesday at the Al Madina Stadium in Rabat, taking on tournament debutants Malawi.
