The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has restated the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force in fighting insecurity bedeviling the country.
Mr Egbetokun said this during the maiden international lecture by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Abuja.
The IGP, who was represented by Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Benneth Igweh, commended NAN for organising a lecture on insecurity.
The lecture is on “Insecurity in the Sahel (2008 – 2024); Dissecting Nigeria’s Challenges, Genesis, Impacts and Options”.
“The Police are part of the system. We will continue to fight this scourge affecting our dear country,” he reaffirmed.
