The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde had reacted to reports of his plan to run for the 2027 presidential election.
Mr Makinde while speaking to journalists at the Fashola Farm in Ibadan on Saturday, October 19, 2024, after the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) retreat, said he is old enough to make his own decisions.
According to Mr Makinde, he is old enough to declare his intentions when the time comes.
The governor emphasised that nobody could push his political agenda and that he would announce his intentions explicitly.
He recalled his 2019 governorship election where he was considered an outsider without political experience, but the people of Oyo State gave him a chance.
He highlighted his infrastructural projects and declared that he had created sustainable institutions and ensured good governance.
