Manchester United has confirmed that Erik ten Hag has officially been relieved of his duties as the head coach of the team
In a brief statement issued on Monday, October 28, 2014, the club expressed gratitude for Ten Hag’s contributions, saying, “We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future.”
The club also announced the appointment of former United star Ruud van Nistelrooy as the interim head coach.
Van Nistelrooy, who had a distinguished playing career at Old Trafford, will lead the team alongside the current coaching staff until a permanent replacement is found.
