American fitness influencer and content creator Ashton Hall has described Nigeria as his favourite destination in Africa following his recent tour of the continent, saying Lagos reminded him of “an African version of Miami.”

Hall made the remarks during an interview streamed on his Kick account after completing his multi-country African tour on Sunday.

Reflecting on his experience, the social media personality praised Nigeria’s vibrant culture, hospitality and cuisine, noting that the country left the strongest impression on him among all the African nations he visited.

“Lagos, Nigeria feels like an African version of Miami. I stayed in Lagos when I was in Nigeria. Their culture, food, I mean I like all of them. Africa is fire,” Hall said.

Although he described Nigeria as an incredible place to visit, Hall added that he would prefer to return occasionally rather than relocate permanently.

“I would definitely come back from time to time, but I don’t think I would live there,” he said.

Hall’s visit to Nigeria generated widespread excitement across social media, with fans, celebrities and content creators turning out to welcome him.

During his stay in Lagos, he met music executive Don Jazzy and collaborated with several of Nigeria’s leading streamers and digital creators, attracting millions of views across social media platforms.

The influencer also visited other African countries as part of his continental tour. His itinerary included South Africa, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ghana before arriving in Nigeria.

Throughout the trip, he shared videos showcasing local cuisines, tourist attractions, fitness activities and cultural experiences, with each stop drawing significant online engagement.

Hall first visited South Africa at the beginning of the tour, exploring Johannesburg and Cape Town. He subsequently travelled to Kenya, where he spent time in Nairobi, before heading to Tanzania to experience Zanzibar. From there, he visited Rwanda, touring Kigali, before stopping in Ghana, where he explored Accra. He concluded the tour in Nigeria, spending several days in Lagos.

Hall rose to global prominence through his fitness and motivational content on social media, where he built a massive following by documenting his disciplined lifestyle, intense workout routines and early-morning productivity habits.

His trademark videos, often featuring meticulously structured morning routines, luxury settings and motivational narration, became viral sensations across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, earning him millions of followers worldwide.

His popularity surged further in 2024 and 2025 as clips of his routines were widely shared and parodied online, turning him into one of the internet’s most recognisable fitness creators.

His growing influence has since seen him expand into live streaming and international travel content, with his African tour attracting widespread attention from fans across the continent.
