Nollywood stars Lateef Adedimeji and his wife Adebimpe, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, were joined by family members, movie industry colleagues, and well-wishers on Wednesday for a grand thanksgiving ceremony celebrating the birth of their triplet sons.
Footage circulating online captured guests arriving at the highly anticipated event, which follows months after the couple welcomed their three boys. The celebration comes after a private Islamic naming ceremony held at their Lekki residence in Lagos, where the triplets were named Rahman, Raheem, and Rakeeb in the presence of close family and friends.
Married in December 2021, the couple faced public scrutiny before the arrival of their children. In a reflective social media post, Adedimeji spoke of the mockery and stigma they endured prior to the birth, describing their journey as a story that has now become a testimony.
Upon announcing the news, he revealed that he spent the period leading up to the birth “building, protecting, and embracing the greatest blessing” of his life, describing the boys as three kings to call his own.
Throughout their transition into parenthood, the pair have shared glimpses of their experience with fans. Mo Bimpe characterised motherhood as a journey “from waiting to wonder, from tears to thanksgiving,” while expressing joy online after a video of market women celebrating her pregnancy went viral, asking for the women to be traced so they could join the festivities.
