British heavyweight stars Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois are set for a face-off in a highly anticipated International Boxing Federation (IBF) world heavyweight title fight this Saturday, September 21, 2024, at Wembley Stadium.

The clash is expected to draw massive attention from fans and boxing enthusiasts around the world.

According to a report by the Manchester Evening News, Mr Joshua is guaranteed to earn £6 million (approximately N13 billion) for the fight, with his total earnings potentially surpassing £25 million (N54 billion) depending on pay-per-view sales.

Mr Joshua, who holds a 60/40 revenue split advantage as the A-side fighter, is poised for one of his most lucrative bouts.

For 27-year-old Mr Dubois, this fight represents the biggest financial opportunity for his career.

He is expected to earn a guaranteed £3.5 million, with his payday possibly rising to £10 million if pay-per-view targets are met.

Mr Dubois’ previous career-high earnings came from his bout against Oleksandr Usyk, where he pocketed £1.6 million despite the defeat.

The stakes are high for both fighters, with Mr Joshua aiming to reclaim the IBF world heavyweight title, while Mr Dubois seeks to defend his belt.

A win for Mr Joshua could cement his place in history as only the sixth fighter to win the heavyweight crown three times.

Despite back-to-back losses to Mr Usyk, the 34-year-old Mr Joshua has rebounded with four consecutive victories, setting the stage for this critical title shot.

Mr Dubois, who inherited the IBF title after Mr Usyk vacated it, will be fighting to keep his championship and prove himself as a top contender in the division.

Saturday’s bout is expected to be a financial windfall for both fighters. While Mr Joshua has previously earned substantial payouts, including an estimated £39.8 million from his fight against Francis Ngannou, Mr Dubois is entering new territory with this massive payday.

Final figures for the fight purse will be confirmed after the event on September 21, 2024, but both fighters are already set for significant earnings.

The fight promises to be a spectacle as the two British heavyweights battle for supremacy in front of a packed Wembley Stadium.
