Kano governor Abba Yusuf bags award for education excellence

The governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has been honoured with the prestigious Nigerian Union of Teachers’ Golden Award for his outstanding performance in reforming the state’s education sector.

The award was presented during the World Teachers’ Day 2024 celebration at the Eagle Square, Abuja and organised in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Education.

This is contained in a statement issued by his spokesman Bature Dawakin Tofa in Kano on Saturday.

The NUT National Chairman, Titus Ambe, praised Mr Yusuf’s dedication to advancing education, particularly through supporting teachers’ welfare and continuous training.
