Galatasaray have reportedly lowered their asking price for star forward Victor Osimhen to €65m (£55.7m) following fresh interest from Saudi Pro League outfit Al Hilal.

According to Turkish outlet Haberler, citing Sky Sports, Al Hilal have made formal enquiries to ascertain the terms required to sign the Nigerian international. Although Osimhen only recently completed a permanent transfer to the Turkish champions after a successful loan stint from Napoli, Galatasaray remain open to a sale if their €65m valuation is met.

To pave the way for the marquee signing, Al Hilal are preparing to free up squad space by parting ways with former Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema. The Riyadh-based club are expected to step up talks with Osimhen’s representatives over the coming days, though any potential transfer hinges on convincing the 27-year-old forward to make the move to Saudi Arabia.

If Osimhen remains in Istanbul, he will be pivotal to Galatasaray’s campaign as they target a third consecutive Süper Lig title. Bookmakers Sportingbet currently position the reigning champions as clear favourites to retain their crown at 2.00 odds, ahead of rivals Fenerbahce (2.75), Besiktas (7.00), and Trabzonspor (12.00).

Osimhen, who has established an impressive record of 59 goals in 74 appearances since joining the Turkish giants, faces an increasingly competitive domestic landscape this season. Rival contenders have heavily bolstered their forward lines, with Trabzonspor pairing Mohamed Salah alongside Paul Onuachu, whilst Fenerbahce have recruited Mason Greenwood and Romelu Lukaku to lead their attacking line.
