Sen. Lawal Adamu’s initiative to provide solar-powered electricity across the seven local governments in his Kaduna Central Senatorial District has continued to garner praise from his constituents.
The benefiting local governments include Igabi, Kaduna South, Kaduna North, Chikun, Lere, Birnin-Gwari, and Kajuru.
Constituents from various political backgrounds spoke with NAN on Saturday, highlighting the positive impacts of the project on their communities, including improved security, enhanced social life, and boosted economic activities.
“The initiative has greatly enhanced the quality of life, particularly in rural settlements, and has empowered many people,” said Mr Danjuma Sarki, a candidate for the Kaduna State PDP chairmanship. “Sen. Adamu has executed many projects, but none has reached the grassroots like this solar-powered energy initiative,” he added.
Sarki emphasized that the electricity project was a fulfillment of Sen. Adamu’s promise to the people of Kaduna Central. “Sen. Adamu has kept his word. That is commendable, and we are proud of him,” he noted.
Mr. Tanko Rossi, an APC stalwart, also praised the project. “It is an excellent intervention that has brought joy to the people of his senatorial zone. The impact of the solar power initiative has significantly raised living standards,” he told newsmen.
Privilege Magazine, a Kaduna-based publication, also commended Sen. Adamu, with its publisher, Victor Bobai, applauding the Senator for his remarkable achievements. “His achievements are heartwarming; he has surpassed our expectations,” Bobai told newsmen. “We thank the Senator for bringing light to various wards in Kaduna Central.”
Mr. Gideon Kajang of Nasarawa Village also lauded Adamu for restoring hope among the youth and revitalizing many communities. Hon Usher, a resident of Sabon Tasha, emphasized the positive impact of the electricity project. “It is difficult to quantify the benefits of this project. Sen. Adamu has done well and deserves our praise. We shall continue to pray for him,” he said.
“It is evident that Sen. Adamu’s dedication to grassroots development knows no bounds. His commitment to providing sustainable lighting solutions has not only improved the quality of life but also enhanced security and economic activities in these areas,” Usher added. “This initiative embodies the spirit of grassroots development and showcases Sen. Adamu’s commitment to the betterment of Kaduna State and its people.”
Mr. Tony John, an editor at Privilege Magazine, also praised Adamu’s achievements. “We wholeheartedly applaud Sen. Adamu’s outstanding work and urge him to sustain these efforts. We call for support for such initiatives that will foster progress and prosperity in Kaduna State. Projects like this will upgrade all aspects of life, and we must support Adamu to initiate more projects for a brighter future for all,” John said.
