President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointments of governing councils for several Federal Colleges of Education, according to a statement released on Wednesday by his spokesperson, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.
Ismaila Gadaka has been appointed Chairman of the Governing Council for the Federal College of Education (Technical), Yauri, Kebbi State. Other members of the council include Abdulhakeem Adegoke, Pam Ishaya, Abubakar Fakai, and Zara Usman.
For the Federal College of Education (Technical), Isu, Ebonyi State, Mohammed Takori has been named Chairman of the council, with Dauda Onipede, Victor Danzaria, Solomon Ayuba, and Mario Owumi appointed as members.
In Benue State, Baba Homsuk will serve as Chairman of the Governing Council for the Federal College of Education, Odugbo, joined by members Kayode Ajiboye, Rex Ogbonna, Jude Ngaji, and John Viko.
The Governing Council of the Federal College of Education, Jama’are, Bauchi State, will be led by Aisha Tahir as Chairman, with Dorren Udechukwu, Bar Yaji, Mustapha Shehu, and Joshua Adewale serving as members.
Similarly, Abdullahi Adamu has been appointed Chairman of the Governing Council for the Federal College of Education, Gidan Madi, Sokoto State, with members Olatunji Akinbiyi, Mohammed Malala, Saleh Audu, and Lami Oguogho.
Additionally, Tukur Jikamshi has been named Chairman of the Governing Council for the Federal College of Education (Technical), Benin, Edo State. The council members include Abdullahi Loko, Asimiyu Alarape, Abubakar Bello, and Christopher Okaeben.
President Tinubu urged the newly appointed council members to serve with dedication and commitment, aiming to enhance the standards of learning in the nation’s federal colleges of education.
